We were looking for a photographer to capture our extended family on the beach while on vacation for our dad’s 80th birthday. From the start, we knew Joel was going to be easy to work with - his response time was amazing, his deposit process was simple, and his communication style put us at ease since we were planning this from thousands of miles away. On the day of the photo shoot, he was punctual, patient, and professional, and never did we feel rushed. He had great ideas on what type of pictures to take, gave us tips on how to pose, and he made sure that all family members were photographed in various group shots. He captured the warmth of the golden hour on the beach, which added to the magic of the collection. Joel was extremely prompt at uploading our photo gallery and we were delighted with the variety and quality of the pictures! He was very efficient and helpful in following up with edits and final proofs. Not only is Joel a professional photographer, but also genuinely nice and accommodating. andrea burkhardt 43 weeks ago We were travelling to PV as a family to celebrate a big birthday for my mom and thought it’d be fun to have some family pictures taken. I found Joel’s website and booked him for an hour sunset session. None of us are too comfortable around cameras or fancy photoshoots, so we were definitely a little apprehensive. We met him at Conchas Chinas beach and immediately began having fun. He explained his process and different ways to pose to be comfortable. He also helped us arrange a taxi to pick us up when we were finished. Full service! We had three little boys with us and they were fully engaged and entertained the entire time. Joel interacted so nicely with all of us, he really was able to make us comfortable and happy. It was actually a highlight of the trip for us, we had such a good time getting to know Joel and his assistant, it was so entertaining, so fun, and so many genuine laughs were had. It was an experience and not just a photoshoot, we have such fun memories from our time on that beautiful beach with Joel, and now we have beautiful pictures too! He captured our personalities, and they look great! Thank you so much!

We both loved working with him, he made us feel comfortable and allowed us to show our love naturally! His assistant Gina was just as helpful every step of the way. It was very last minute, but he accommodated us the same day I reached out! He was AMAZING! He is extremely talented, and took the time to educate us on poses, and helped us achieve some BEAUTIFUL pics! His pricing is VERY reasonable!. I highly recommend Joel! I LOVE our photos!

He was so nice, and took tons of pictures, from when the bridal party was getting ready, through the ceremony, and after the ceremony. Maha Armush Apr 7, 2018 Joel is a super talented photographer who captured our beach wedding in Puerto Vallarta beautifully. He is kind, relaxed, and very uninvasive (you almost don’t even realize he’s there). One of his talents is taking candid shots; he likes for things to flow naturally while he shoots special moments from various angles. At the same time, he took some posed shots on the beach during sunset that turned out spectacularly. I myself am a photographer, so I took selecting a wedding photographer quite seriously. I focus on things like lighting, composition, depth of field, and the angle of the sun... and Joel mastered all these things exceptionally. He also connected well with us by meeting in advance to chat and figure out what we wanted. He is bilingual; his English is great and he communicated with me and my English-speaking husband so that we could both describe what we wanted - and boy did Joel deliver! He almost makes us want to get married again so that we can have even more pictures!

Olivier Gagnon Nov 18, 2018 Great experience! Destination weddings attract a lot of people out to make a buck, and everyone assumes you must be rich if you’re getting married at a resort. Joel charged us 1/3 what the hotel wanted for their photographer and this meant a lot to us as we are not rich at all. My wife is a strict judge and she insisted on a five star rating, I agree, the pictures are amazing, the experience was very nice and Joel and his assistant were perfect. I hope Joel is still in business in 10 years when we come back to renew our vowes!

Our Concierge, Marlen, at Playa Royale, highly recommended Joel and called him to see if he was available to photograph the beach proposal at such short notice. We were SO lucky to have Joel and his team do the job! Jamie and Spencer have some of the most beautiful pictures captured of this life event - Jamie WAS surprised and Joel caught every expression!! Robin Ruddock Joel is a true professional. Excellent work - we were thrilled with the photographs. We booked a morning session for 4 adults and 2 children, and Joel was really able to get natural looking shots. My wife and I had always wanted the classic "beach couple" photos and Joel was also happy to take a few minutes to capture this as well. Would highly recommend.
